We’ve been carrying Sherrill Furniture here at Merkel longer than any other company that’s on our floor. This is a testament to Sherrill’s decades-long commitment to consistent, quality furniture, and it’s durability. In fact, we have customers coming back to our store that purchased Sherrill pieces from us in the 1980s, and are still loving their chair or sofa!

Each piece of Sherrill is made by hand in their Hickory, North Carolina facilities, and each is made in accordance to the highest standards in furniture manufacturing.

For instance, all the seat spring systems in a piece of Sherrill furniture is ‘Eight-Way Hand-Tied”, meaning that each spring in the seat is tied down by hand in eight different directions, insuring even, long-lasting support.

This can be be compared to mass-produced, imported furniture, which uses cheap sinuous wire for their support mechanisms, which can break or degrade in a matter of a couple of years or less.
