Kristen has been practicing interior design for over 20 years with a true passion for beautiful things and welcoming spaces. When working with her clients, she strives to achieve the perfect balance between aesthetics and function. She believes that some of the most beautiful interiors are the ones that give the feeling of being collected over time. Kristen holds her B.S. degree in Interior Design from Eastern Michigan University and is an Allied Member of ASID.

Alice has been with Merkel Furniture for over 24 years. She has experience with practically every aspect of home furnishings from flooring, furniture, and window treatments to space planning and color coordination. She specializes in ‘3D Planner’, which has been very useful in assisting her clients in visualizing their space. Alice holds a B.F.A. degree in Interior Design from the University of Michigan.

Colleen brings over 10 years of home furnishing and floor covering experience to Merkel and its’ patrons. Acting as her own general contractor, in building three homes for herself and her family, led her to a specialization in flooring for new construction. Colleen is a graduate of Davenport University.

Jennifer graduated from Western Michigan University with a BS in Interior Design. She started her design career in flooring and window coverings and then moved on to work for different architectural firms. Over the years she has raised a family and helped grow her husbands chiropractic business. More recently she decided to get back into the industry and can't wait to broaden her knowledge base and use her "eye" for design with new clients.
